And not only that, since Phoenix is one of the cities in America with the best shopping centers. There are quite a few (including outlets) with a huge number of stores and several stand out for their excellent design. Here you will be able to know which are the best malls in Phoenix, the outlets with good discounts and where to have the best shopping day.
Best Malls in Phoenix
Scottsdale Fashion Square
If you can only go to one of the malls in Phoenix, it is very likely that everyone will recommend that you go to Scottsdale Fashion Quarter. It is the largest shopping center in Phoenix, in addition to being one of the most successful in the entire country, having been open for more than 60 years. After changing ownership in the 1990s, Scottsdale Fashion Quarter totally changed as it added several high-end stores. And it is that this mall is a paradise for lovers of luxury fashion brands since it includes first-class department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
But that’s not all as you can also find exclusive brand stores such as Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Christian Louboutin or Bottega Veneta among several other famous brands. But there are all kinds of brands in the mall including fast fashion (such as Zara, Forever 21 and H&M) and various high-quality, well-designed premium brands such as AllSaints, Lacoste, Armani Exchange and Scotch & Soda. And in a shopping center like this, haute cuisine restaurants like Ocean 44 and the famous Japanese restaurant Nobu could not be missing.

In addition to Fashion Square, there are other smaller shopping centers but with very good stores, not only for clothes but also for accessories or furniture. One of them is Scottsdale Quarter. Not only is it one of the best designed in the city, but you will find wonderful shops. These include Altar’d State, Lululemon, Free People, Bonobos, Sephora or the Apple Store. Here you can also find outstanding furniture stores including several of the most famous in America such as Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn or CB2 (owned by Crate & Barrel, which sells furniture with a more modern design).
The places to eat are not left behind either, since there are quite varied restaurant options. Whether you want to eat in a more casual setting (Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls or True Food Kitchen), in a fancy restaurant (Dominick’s or Eddie V’s) or just want ice cream or juice, you’ll find it all in the Scottsdale Quarter.

Chandler Fashion Center
Chandler Fashion Center is the second largest mall in the Phoenix area. This shopping center has been open since 2001, and since then it has had several land changes, but it has established itself as one of the most visited in the city. And this is thanks to the fact that there are almost 200 different stores with things for everyone. Eddie Bauer, Cotton:On, H&M, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lucky Brand or Coach are some of them.
Also here are located Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, the Lego Store and the department stores Dillard’s and Macy’s. For many years, Biltmore Fashion Park was number 1 among all the malls in Phoenix for luxury fashion. After the opening of Fashion Square it fell into the background a bit, but it is still a great shopping destination. This especially for the Saks Fifth Avenue department store. It is the biggest attraction that this shopping center has, since inside it has spaces of the best luxury fashion brands (including Valentino, Balenciaga or Chanel).
That’s not all the good things about this beautiful open-air mall, which has been open since 1963, as there are also more interesting stores like Macy’s as well as Ralph Lauren, J.McLaughlin, Lululemon, J.Crew or the Arhaus furniture store. And if you want to stay and eat at Biltmore Fashion Park, you can do so at one of its several restaurants such as The Capital Grille or Seasons 52.

And you won’t regret it as there are excellent shops. This mall offers more than a hundred stores such as Coach, Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Lego Store, Morphe and Lululemon. If you prefer to visit a department store, Arrowhead Towne Center offers three: Macy’s, Dillards and JCPenney. You can also head to the Nordstrom Rack outlet store, owned by the famous luxury department store where you can shop for discounted clothing and accessories from brands like Burberry, Coach, Nike, AllSaints and more.
Other interesting places in the mall include the Apple Store, as well as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy and Harkins Movie Theatres. Desert Ridge Marketplace
There are plenty of outdoor malls in Phoenix, but Desert Ridge Marketplace is definitely one of the best. And there is everything in this place. It may not be that big, but there are options for everyone. First of all, there are several good places to go shopping. These include Kohl’s department store as well as several discount stores including Nordstrom Rack (one of our favorites), Ross and Marshalls. There are also various fashion brands such as H&M, Old Navy, American Eagle and the sports brand Nike.
And in addition to clothes, you can also buy makeup at Ulta Beauty, books at Barnes & Noble, shoes at DSW or Famous Footwear, as well as two supermarkets: Target and Albertsons. One of the best things about this mall is its various entertainment options that range from movie theaters and a Dave & Buster’s to Copper Blues Live, an excellent place where, in addition to eating or having a drink, you can listen to local bands live and have a great night.

Right next to the Scottsdale Quarter, there is another quite similar mall that is also worth visiting. It’s called Kierland Commons and it’s a lifestyle center: a complex that includes shops, malls, offices and also apartments. This makes this place look more like a nice neighborhood than a shopping center. The brands that Kierland Commons has are quite well known and include Anthropologie, Tommy Bahama, Untuckit, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors and the shoe store Ecco.
You can also go to the Sundance store, which is owned by Robert Redford, where you can buy clothes, jewelry and decoration products. The number of stores in this outlet is considerably less than Arizona Mills, but there are several that you will only find here such as Coach, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Brooks Brothers, Hugo Boss and Armani Exchange. There’s also Puma, Johnston & Murphy, Polo Ralph Lauren (with a pretty big store) Coach and the Saks Fifth Avenue outlet store.

There are several outlets in Phoenix, located in different parts of the city, but if you are in the Glendale area, do not hesitate to go to Tanger Outlets. But it is one of the most complete malls in Phoenix of its kind, as it combines several discount stores with shoe stores, supermarkets, clothing stores and even movie theaters. You can find T.J.Maxx, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ulta Beauty and Kohl’s department store here. There are also several restaurants, mostly fast food, such as In N Out, Chick-fil-A or Panera Bread.
Outlets at Anthem: In addition to the other three outlets in Phoenix that we told you about, there is one more in the north of Phoenix. Outlets at Anthem has a lot to offer as there are many good stores, making it a great option to visit if you are in the area. It is smaller than the other outlets but there are famous brands like Nike, Under Armour, Coach, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
The Promenade: This is another small but good mall in the Scottsdale area. The Promenade is one of those places where you go for one thing and stay for another. The most attractive part of the mall is its various restaurants that range from Blaze Pizza and Buffalo Wild Wings to fine dining options such as The Capital Grille and Cooper’s Hawk.
