Pittsburgh is a city where you can do many things. Although for many the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of this Pennsylvania city is its sports teams, it is much more than that. It is one of the favorite cities for cultural tourism due to its good museums (including Andy Warhol’s), as well as having incredible restaurants and good places to go shopping. This is what we will talk about next as we will tell you which are the best malls in Pittsburgh, where to find the best brands as well as everything you need to know about the city’s outlets and shopping stores.
Best Malls in Pittsburgh
Ross Park Mall
There is no better way to start talking about the best malls in Pittsburgh than with Ross Park Mall. It is one of the largest in the city and has excellent shops. Something that distinguishes this shopping center from its competition is that it has several luxury stores. For example, you can visit the department store Nordstrom (its only store in Pittsburgh) and great luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, the English brand Burberry or the highly prestigious jewelry Tiffany & Co.
There are many other interesting fashion brands including Michael Kors, Coach, Untuckit, Free People or J.Crew, as well as JCPenney and Macy’s. Lacoste, Lululemon or the Lego and Apple stores also stand out. It is also a good place to go if you are looking for new furniture or home decor as there are several of the best stores here such as Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel.

The Mall at Robinson
Very close to the airport is another of the best malls in Pittsburgh. Its name is The Mall at Robinson and it has been open since 2001. The main stores in this large mall are JCPenney and Macy’s, as well as Dick’s Sporting Goods, where you can buy clothing and equipment to practice your favorite sport. There are also very important fashion brands including White House Black Market, Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M, Forever 21 or clothing stores for babies and children including Carter’s or The Children’s Place. There are not many places to eat, but their food court is good since you can go to Wahlburgers, Chick-fil-A or Subway.
As if that were not enough, a short distance away is another small mall with several interesting stores: Robinson Town Center. These include discount stores like Marshalls or T.J.Maxx as well as Famous Footwear, furniture stores, or the JOANN fabric store. And speaking of places to buy furniture, you can’t miss, also in this area, the famous Swedish furniture store: IKEA.

There’s also Sephora and Macy’s department store (including its furniture gallery).
On the other hand, this is one of the malls that has more and better restaurants in Pittsburgh. North Hills Village is different from the other malls in Pittsburg that we have discussed. First of all, it is smaller and most importantly, it is not a traditional mall but rather a big box strip mall. That is, they are separate stores from each other, without a common area. There are several places of this type in the city, but without a doubt this is the one of the best in town. Its anchor stores are Target and Kohl’s department store. But there are many more stores to visit including Best Buy, discount stores such as Burlington, as well as Petco, Michaels and the toy, decor and gift store: Five Below.

Following the same type of mall as North Hills Village, The Waterfront is another good option for shopping in Pittsburgh. But something that distinguishes this place is that it has a small and very nice central square that is surrounded by several shops. Even their store offerings are better than many other malls in Pittsburgh, ranging from Bed Bath & Beyond and Costco to movie theaters. In this mall we highlight its various options to buy cheap clothes such as Ross, Marshalls and T.J.Maxx. But in addition to discount stores there are several well-known clothing brands including Old Navy, Carter’s, Express and Journeys.
You can also find the famous bookstore Barnes & Noble, the makeup store Ulta Beauty or Lowe’s. There are plenty of places to eat on The Waterfront whether it be fast food places like McDonald’s or Jimmy John’s, casual dining at TGI Friday’s or even Longhorn Steakhouse. In the area there are also several hotels and if you want to have fun there is a Dave & Buster’s or a comedy club.

It has famous stores like H&M, Best Buy, Spencers, American Eagle, Forever 21 or Hot Topic. There are also two department stores: JCPenney and Macy’s (where you can find their outlet section: Macy’s Backstage).
In addition to these well-known brands, there are several local clothing stores, jewelry stores, gyms, beauty salons and more. As an interesting fact, this mall served as a location for several movies and TV series, including the legendary Dawn of the Dead.
