Best Malls in Pittsburgh
Ross Park Mall
There is no better way to start talking about the best malls in Pittsburgh than with Ross Park Mall. It is one of the largest in the city and has excellent shops. Something that distinguishes this shopping center from its competition is that it has several luxury stores. For example, you can visit the department store Nordstrom (its only store in Pittsburgh) and great luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, the English brand Burberry or the highly prestigious jewelry Tiffany & Co.
There are many other interesting fashion brands including Michael Kors, Coach, Untuckit, Free People or J.Crew, as well as JCPenney and Macy’s. Lacoste, Lululemon or the Lego and Apple stores also stand out. It is also a good place to go if you are looking for new furniture or home decor as there are several of the best stores here such as Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel.

The Mall at Robinson
Very close to the airport is another of the best malls in Pittsburgh. Its name is The Mall at Robinson and it has been open since 2001. The main stores in this large mall are JCPenney and Macy’s, as well as Dick’s Sporting Goods, where you can buy clothing and equipment to practice your favorite sport. There are also very important fashion brands including White House Black Market, Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M, Forever 21 or clothing stores for babies and children including Carter’s or The Children’s Place. There are not many places to eat, but their food court is good since you can go to Wahlburgers, Chick-fil-A or Subway.
As if that were not enough, a short distance away is another small mall with several interesting stores: Robinson Town Center. These include discount stores like Marshalls or T.J.Maxx as well as Famous Footwear, furniture stores, or the JOANN fabric store. On the other hand, this is one of the malls that has more and better restaurants in Pittsburgh. There are many options of all kinds of food such as BJ’s, the seafood restaurant Bonefish Grill or if you want a burger you can go to Red Robin or Flamers. Not inside the mall, but just across the parking lot you can find AMC movie theaters.

The Block Northway
The Block Northway is a small but cute shopping center north of Pittsburgh. One of the outstanding things in this mall is the Nordstrom Rack outlet store. It is one of our favorite discount stores, as it has a good selection of clothing and fashion accessories from great brands at very good prices. Also from this type of store, you can go to Saks Off Fifth or Marshalls in this same mall. There is also the J.Crew outlet store, as well as the low-cost shoe store DSW or the wedding dress store David’s Bridal. The Block Northway also hosts a farmers’ market every Friday in the summer, as well as other activities throughout the year.

North Hills Village
North Hills Village is different from the other malls in Pittsburg that we have discussed. First of all, it is smaller and most importantly, it is not a traditional mall but rather a big box strip mall. That is, they are separate stores from each other, without a common area. There are several places of this type in the city, but without a doubt this is the one of the best in town. Its anchor stores are Target and Kohl’s department store. But there are many more stores to visit including Best Buy, discount stores such as Burlington, as well as Petco, Michaels and the toy, decor and gift store: Five Below.

The Waterfront
Following the same type of mall as North Hills Village, The Waterfront is another good option for shopping in Pittsburgh. Although many people think of it as a dead mall, Monroeville Mall still has some good stores. If you want to buy clothes at a good price, you should go to one of the outlets in Pittsburgh, the closest one is Tanger Outlets. It is only a half hour drive from downtown Pittsburgh.
