Westfield Southcenter
Although the years go by and new malls open in Seattle, Southcenter continues to be the king in the city. And it will not be difficult to find something in stores like Uniqlo, Lucky Brand, Forever 21, Coach or Abercrombie & Fitch.

It is the only mall in Seattle that has four department stores: Macy’s, Nordstrom, JCPenney and Sears. For all sports fans, there is one place you must visit in the mall: Seattle Team Shop. The answer is very easy: it is one of the best designed as well as having several of the most famous luxury fashion brands. Although it suffered the closure of the Neiman Marcus department store, it still has several excellent stores. These are big European brands like the French Louis Vuitton and Hermès, two iconic firms in the world of fashion.

Also the best of Italian fashion is here with brands like Prada, Tod’s, Moncler, Gucci and Bottega Veneta. Also in this mall you can go to the Olivers People eyewear store or the Omega watch store. This shopping center does have department stores: Nordstrom and Macy’s. And there are also dozens of clothing stores, also with luxury brands such as Hugo Boss and Burberry. Highly prestigious brands such as Vince, Tory Burch, Ted Baker, Anthropologie, Johnny Was and Eileen Fisher also stand out. And if you don’t want to spend that much check out Nordstrom Rack, this particular store is considered to be one of the stores of its kind that has better products from major brands at a good price.

That’s not all, as there are also fast fashion brands (such as Uniqlo and Zara), as well as the best athleisure stores (including Lululemon, Fabletics and Athelta), among many others. This mall, which has been open since 1946, also has various entertainment options. You can watch a movie in the most comfortable way possible in a reclining chair at Cinemark Reserve or go bowling at Lucky Strike. That’s not all as there are also stores like Sundance (owned by actor Robert Redford and where you can buy clothing, jewelry and gifts from artisans and small businesses), the Apple Store or Kiehl’s.

Several furniture stores are here too, highlighting national chain stores such as Crate & Barrel (which also has its own CB2 store, which sells furniture with a more modern design), Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn. If you get hungry, no problem, as there are excellent restaurants like Homegrown, Elemental Wood Fired Pizza or if you want Chinese food you should go to Din Tai Fung. There was also a Sears, but after its closure that area has been converted into a mixed-use development that will include, in addition to more stores, an apartment tower. At the time it opened it was just an indoor mall, but in recent years they have opened up outdoor areas like where Nordstrom and REI are. In the rest of the mall there are stores like Altar’d State, H&M, Miniso, White House Black Market, Urban Outfiters and the Lego Store.

If you want to support local businesses, you should go to the Made in Washington store. Best Places to Go Shopping in Seattle
Downtown: Although there are many malls in Seattle, Downtown continues to be one of the traditional places to go shopping. There are not only good museums, restaurants and hotels but also several outstanding stores. The largest store in the area is Nordstrom. This department store chain is based in Seattle, and this is one of their biggest stores. Nearby are several others such as The North Face, Old Navy, AllSaints, Sephora and Nike.
Westlake Center: Also in Downtown is this small shopping center. There are very few stores but three stand out: Saks off Fifth, Nordstrom Rack and Zara. The first two are the outlet stores of the famous luxury department stores. They are good options to get offers, although there are not the luxury brands that you would find in your normal stores, there will be some designer brand products and at much lower prices. On the other hand, Zara is one of the most famous European fashion brands, thanks to its good and modern designs and not high prices.
Parkway Super Center: Very close to Westfield Southcenter, there is this other mall that, although it does not compare in number of stores or in size, does have several interesting businesses. They are mainly “big box stores” such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels, Best Buy and HomeGoods. It is also famous as it has several discount stores making it a good place to buy cheap clothes in Seattle. Another of its important stores is buybuyBaby, here you can buy everything a baby needs, be it strollers, diapers, toys and more.
